2009, The Reader's Digest Version

Wow, it's hard to keep up with a blog! I meant to post my 2009 review Jan. 2nd.... 24 days later isn't too bad, right? It is? Oh, well sorry. Hopefully we'll get the hang of this soon, one of my pet peeves has been those people who never update their blogs and now I'm one of them! This will change, don't you worry, this will change!

Anyways....

Here We Go:

January
:
* Whitney entered the real world and began her first grown up job as a SpeechPathologist Assistant for Butkus & Associates
*Eric began his last semester of college at Dartmouth College.

February:
* WE were reunited in New Hampshire for Dartmouth's Winter Carnival/Valentines

March:
* Whitney bought her first car! (Mazda 3)

* Eric experienced his last spring break, some of which was spent in Hill Country for his
brother's wedding
* WE were apart of an amazing premarital retreat called CountDown (HIGHLY suggest
this to all engaged couples)

April:
* Eric turned 22
* Whitney traveled her last of 16 visits to Dartmouth. She had the pleasure of celebrating
Eric's birthday with him.

* Whitney had her first wedding shower! (thank you cul-de-sac family for hosting!)

May:
* ERIC AND WHITNEY WERE REUNITED ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!
* The showers continued with what we call the Crossroads shower, and the couple's
shower. (that's right, eric got to enjoy the wonderfulness that is wedding showers)

June:
* WE began renting our first house

* Eric officially graduated college

* Whitney turned 22

and ....
* WE GOT MARRIED!!! ... yeah no big deal ;)
.... i know you're expecting a picture, but i currently have a peanut stuck in my cd player so i am unable to download any from our wedding cds
* WE left for an amazing honeymoon

(June was packed pretty tight!)

July:
* WE celebrated our 1 month of marriage with a bout of E.Coli in Whitney's kidneys, and
blood stream which was treated by 2 week of IV antibiotics (oh yes, we were quite
literally thrown into the trials of marriage)

* Eric began his first adult job as an Associate for Employee Benefits Solutions

August:
* After Whitney got the "ok" from her infectious disease specialist, everyone took a
deep breath of relief and God provided us with a quitier month (moving
into/decorating our home... something we're STILL doing!)
* WE were able to celebrate an anniversary the correct way... with cupcakes from Crave
that is! YUMMY!!!

September:
* WE traveled to Dallas to visit sweet friends, kelly, patrick and tyler

* WE continued the tradition of Labor Day on Lake Conroe

* WE enjoyed our first concert as a married couple, Jason Mraz!

October:
* WE hosted both of our familes for pumpkin carving craziness!!

* WE celebrated Baylor's Homecoming with even more sweet friends! Thanks Kevin
and Jamie for letting us stay with y'all.

* WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!

November:
* WE bought a puppy (what else are you supposed to do after buying a house?!?)

* WE celebrated our first Thanksgiving as a married couple
* WE bought our first Christmas tree

* Whitney got sick yet once again... this time an absecced tooth gone terribly wrong

December:
* Whitney was placed in the hospital, had emergency surgery, and 2 holes and
drains crammed in her jaw due to this stupid tooth/jaw infection that my dentist
and doctor both misdiagnosed... THANKS!! (I'm sure you all have seen the pictures my lovely sister posted on facebook, so they're really not necessary here)
* WE enjoyed our first Christmas as a married couple!!

WHEW! there you go, a year of lasts and firsts and craziness.

blog newbie questions:
2) How do I indent paragraphs/sentences? I had each entry for every month all lined up, but when it posted they all aligned to the right side :(

...and so it begins

The New Year, and our new blog. Not that this was one of our new year's resolutions or anything, we just thought it might be fun to catch up to the rest of our family, join the club, hop on the bandwagon, whatever you want to call it. Anyways, here we are, blogging about whatever happens during this craziness we call life. Hope you enjoy it!
